The 2012 Summer Muncie JAR-B-Q show report: a fun-tastic time was had by all!

First, a few Show and Tell Session pix --

Jeff Klingler and his HERKULES jar.

Gary Moore

Joe Merkel

After the meeting, everyone rushed up to preview the auction consignments.

Joe Merkel's light box showed off the jar colors, but cast an eerie glow on faces.

BBQ BOB -- Bob Rhineberger went above and beyond, slaving over a hot stove, and serving up all those delicious meals.

Hostess with the Mostest -- Patty Elwood -- welcome back!

Bravo! to All of our SPEAKERS -- Jerry McCann,  Tom Caniff, Jim Sears, Tom Sproat, Joe coulson -- Thanks for sharing your time, knowledge and passion.

The Jar-tist -- Dave Dube for contributing a print of his beautiful Kilner jar drawing for our auction. Visit his website Old Paper Art to see more of his original drawings on antique ephemera.

Meow! Thank You to everyone for your Kitty-Donations. That really helps with the event's costs. While it is truly a labor of love by all who work on making the event happen, there are grocery bills. Jerry McCann was our Angel Donor this time.

SOLD! Thanks to Jim Sears for donating a big box of jar stuff to our auction. And to Colleen Dixon who purchased most of our auction items! And to the bidders who bought the rest of our auction items -- while I may not know your names, I do appreciate your support.

And now a word from our Sponsors...

American Digger Magazine for contributing a magazine subscription to our auction. They're always looking for article submissions -- share your digging stories!

The FOHBC for contributing a membership/subscription, and several magazines, to our auction.

Peachridge Glass for blogging our press releases.

Antique Bottle and Glass Collector Magazine contributed advertising space.

Thanks also goes to the Signature Inn staff who are so pleasant and helpful. Especially to ROY, the hardest working guy there! Make your reservations now for January 2013.

PS - Hi to our new friends, the folks from Academy of Model Aeronautics, who were staying at the hotel, too. They held their National event in Muncie.

There's always plenty of other interesting things going on in Muncie.

There's a great Rails to Trail bicycle trail called the Cardinal Greenwaythat Jeff Klingler likes so much he spent 2 full 8-hour-days riding it, for a total of 217 miles -- in 90+ degree weather!

See you next time...
