Show report: Belleville Illinois Bottle Show Success

The Fourth Annual Eastside Bottle & Jar Show is a Success in Belleville.
By Michael M. Elling
With perfect autumn weather and plenty of space, the "Eastside Spectacular No. 4" bottle show in Belleville, Illinois, was a success on Saturday, November 13, 2010.  There were some 90 dealers and over 200 tables for the combined bottle, jar, and brewery collectibles show and sale.  The sale was held at the Fairgrounds in Belleville.  Setup was on Friday night, and the show began Saturday morning at 9:00 am.  Public admission charge was $2.00 each, which was a bargain considering the free parking, and no steps to climb.  One entire wing was full of brewery items and included neon eye-candy almost as far as the eye could see.  Looked like great attendance with customers coming right up to the 3 pm raffle drawing.
Soda bottles, signs, and go withes, were plentiful and tables were full of both recent dig finds and classic rare items from decades past.  Most sales were in the range of $5.00 to $20.00, with very little exchange in the rarer items.
