Urbana Bottle Show - Friends and Bottles, What More Can You Want?!!

Here are a few shots of the big show room. The show was much bigger than last year, with 75 tables. Saw lots of friends, made some new ones, too. And oh yeah, bought some bottles. More pix soon. (From phone)

OK - I'm home, and ready to add some more show pix. John and Margie Bartley put on another fun bottle show. It was a great day of shopping and visiting with lots of friends. I know this show is going to grow bigger every year. The building has room for plenty more dealers - and there are more buildings to expand into - and the Urbana Fairgrounds have plenty of shaded grassy areas for outside dealers. This show could be HUGE! Be sure to plan on attending next year.

Here's a small taste of who and what was there this time, for the Urbana Bottle Show 2011:

Don Burkett and Jeff Klingler

Joe Hardin and Shari Rolston

Ken Bryson

Adam and Phyllis Koch

Terry Jones

Here's some shopping candids:

I'm sure we'll all be dreaming about pretty bottles and jars tonight.

Update: Sept. 5, 2011

Here's a note from the Urbana Bottle Show promoters:

A special thanks to all the dealers and collectors (and just plain curious!) who participated in the Urbana Bottle show this year. With over 70 sales tables and almost 170 through the door for our first stand alone effort at this venue, we can only look forward to next year!

All proceeds from this show go to Champaign County Fair Board. This year’s admissions were collected by and benefit the Junior 4-H Sheep Council.

We hope to see everyone at the sold out Findlay, Ohio Show and Pittsburgh in October or St. Andrew, Milford, Ohio in November!
