2009 Bethlehem PA Bottle Show Report

Here are some news-bits, with links to more info -- and to lots more PIX -- have fun!

  • Club member Fred Curtis was interviewed about bottle collecting and DIGGING by the online magazine FINDLAY LIVING -- read the article here: “No Good Hole Goes To Waste For A Collector”.

  • You have got to read the Bethlehem PA Bottle Show report by Bruce Schank. His on-the-spot reporting, and great pix make it almost as good as being there! Except, of course, you can't touch anything... Man, I'm jonesing for a bottle show -- can't wait till Muncie!

  • And Brucie's at it again -- 2 more installments in his Legends of the Jar series -- Phil Smith and Bo Trimble . Believe me, all antique bottle collectors should read these articles -- even if you don't collect fruit jars, the PIX will make you DROOL! And the stories will awe, and inspire your collecting.

  • January 2010 - Muncie Fruit Jar Show - Show is on Jan. 10th, room hopping starts DAYS before - can you say PARTY! -- See the Muncie Club website for show info.

  • February 2010 -- Columbus Bottle Show -- Sat. Feb. 20th - more info here - across the street from the Scott Antique Show -- makes for a full day of antiquing!

  • Of course, there are many other shows -- see the FOHBC show calendar -- but I want to mention 2 more shows that are special -- there's going to be a new bottle show held in conjunction with the July Urbana Antiques Show -- and the FOHBC NATIONAL SHOW is going to be in August in Wilmington Ohio. I'll give more info on those later.

2010 Findlay Show Info

  • Last, but certainly not least -- the club has a signed contract with the Old Barn so next year's show is ON -- set for Oct. 17th, 2010 -- and we already have a list of NEW dealers begging for tables!

  • We will have the contracts ready in MAY, to hand out at the Mansfield Bottle Show -- so if you will be there, be sure to get a contract from Fred. You can email us with your name and space number, and we'll get it to you there. Of course, you can also wait until the contracts get mailed out, but please remember - we always sell out!

  • So, if you want to set up at next year's show, be sure to get your contracts IN and PAID FOR as quickly as possible. Suggestion: pay for your contract at Mansfield, and be assured of your table(s).

  • You definitely want to be at the BEST LITTLE BOTTLE SHOW IN THE MIDWEST!

Happy Holi-DAZE!!
