General Jackson Flask Brings Record Bottle Auction Price of $151,000
Consigned by a long-time collector in Dayton, OH, a spectacular example of a yellow-green General Jackson/eagle historical flask, brought an equally spectacular auction record price of $151,000 when it crossed the block at Norman C. Heckler & Company's recent absentee auction.
It far surpassed the historical-flask record price set earlier this year (in Heckler's March auction) for a General Washington/eagle flask, in a deep sapphire blue, that realized $100,620. This auction had several stand-out bottles, and reached almost $700,000 in bids.
