U.S.P.Co. Pottery Insulator Kiln Workers RPPC ~ Featuring Findlay


Neat old real photo postcard of a group of pottery workers, kiln placers, at the USPCo. The company made porcelain telephone pole insulators (like the blue one below, marked FINDLAY). (eBay, ends 10/26/17)



A little info on the company (source):
United States Electric Porcelain Co.US, U over S; USEPCo, U.S.P.Co.1906-1910Findlay, OHRefitted the old Bell Pottery Co. plant to make white ware. Company was incorporated with $25,000 capital stock and announced in Electrical World on March 24, 1906. The incorporators are J. S. Milligan, C. E. Wilhar, J. K. Henry, R. H. Sharp and C. E. Myers. The company will manufacture porcelain insulators and electrical specialties.   In 1910, leased plant to Findlay Electric Porcelain Co. who later purchased the plant.  Markings: monogram US, USEPCo and U.S.P.Co.
